UCO biodiesel may find market in Taiwan for heating oil

In Taiwan, the end of the country’s B5 policy has led local producers using waste cooking oil as feedstock to look to other markets, but find exporting uncompetitive because neighboring South Korea has better trade deals with import markets such as the EU. The opportunity exists for a growing marketing to include up to 10% in heating oil, but the market is controlled by the state-owned oil company and has been slow in developing.
