Biofuels Digest Index slips 0.86 percent to 62.24 as chemical stocks drop

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, slipped 0.86 percent to 62.24 as chemical stocks dropped. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) skidded 4.63 percent to $10.71, while Solazyme (SZYM) lost 5.24 percent to $2.53, Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) rebounded 4.23 percent to $2.22. Overall, declines led advances 11 to 4 for the day.
