Ethanol production jumps 1000 b/d, representing 11.06% of US gasoline demand

In the US, ethanol production averaged 979,000 barrels per day for the week before last, up by 1000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 970,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.87 billion gallons.

Gasoline demand for the week averaged 371.7 million gallons daily, little changed from last week but 10% above year-ago levels. Refiner/blender input of ethanol snapped back to 837,000 b/d last week, up 6% from the first week of the year. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 11.06%.
