Proposed Idaho ethanol plant fails to gets planning permission

In Idaho, a planned ethanol plant in west of Caldwell has been denied by the Canyon County Planning and Zoning Commission in a tie vote of 2-2. Project promoters Demeter Bio-Resources Montana have 15 days to appeal the decision to the county commissioners. Community concerns ranged from noise pollution and additional traffic to odors and lower property values of neighbors.
