TheNewVoices-3In Florida, The Digest announced that it’s newest series, The New Voices, is set to begin filming March 10th.

The first season’s cast has been finalized and includes: Paul Woods, CEO, Algenol, Rebecca Boudreaux, president, Oberon Fuels; Eric McAfee, CEO, Aemetis; and Claire Curry, analyst, Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

12 episodes are expected to be filmed and aired in the first season. A trailer for the program can be viewed here.

TheNewVoices-8The initial episodes, which will be shot at the National Press Club’s studios in downtown DC during ABLC 2015 week, will air in April and May via BioChannel.TV’s distribution.

Each 30-minute program will feature a credible, factual, funny and entertaining look at the world of the advanced bioeconomy — featuring experienced industry experts, but always with a goal to delight as well as teach, to be engaging as well as informative.

As the program’s opening credits declare, The New Voices is about “The Innovations, The Magic, Explained, Dissected, And Sorta Figured Out.”

The New Voices will be hosted by former television journalist and Digest editor Jim Lane, and aims to expand the audience for science and technology by making it more accessible, relevant and entertaining.

“Instead of criticizing viewers for watching entertaining shows about light topics, we want to make an entertaining program about an important topic,” Lane said.

A second cast will be selected in the next few weeks, and will also be filming episodes of The New Voices. BioChannel.TV also distributes Faces, a one-to-one interview program that debuted earlier this month.
