IISD researcher looks at cattails as bio-power feedstock

In Canada, a senior researcher with International Institute for Sustainable Development is looking at cattails as a possible feedstock for biofuels, especially as a heat source. Providence University in Otterburne, Manitoba wants to move towards more sustainable energy sources and already heats 80% of its campus with biomass, so is looking to cattails as a possible solution.
