New York state proposal for B2 heating oil blending passes committee

In New York state, a proposal to include 2% biodiesel in all heating oil across the state has passed the state Assembly’s Committee on Environmental Conservation. The bill also includes tax breaks for producers. The API is against the proposal, saying it may boost heating oil prices, while a range of NGOs and farmer groups support it.
