Germany’s biodiesel exports and imports grew in 2014

March 25, 2015 |

In Germany, biodiesel exports grew more than 5% in 2014, reaching 506.7 million gallons. Exports in 2013 were up 32% over 2012, however, so export growth has slowed down significantly. The Netherlands took about 35% of the 2014 exports, while half that volume went to France — double what it imported from Germany in 2013. Poland was also a major destination for Germany biodiesel. Biodiesel imports also rose in 2014 to 172.3 million gallons, with France, Italy and Austria the major origins.
