Dutch firm to invest $302 million in Philippines’ largest ethanol plant

In the Philippines, Dutch firm Van Kessel Inc. plans to invest $302 million to build the country’s largest ethanol plant. The fuel, produced from nipa, sweet potatoes, cassava, sweet sorghum and coconuts, will be developed primarily to export to the Japanese and Korean markets.
