Viridis Fuels to get $3.4 million CEC grant for biodiesel plant at Port of Oakland

In California, Viridis Fuels is expecting to receive notice of a $3.4 million grant from the California Energy Commission to build a 20 million gallon per year biodiesel plant at the Port of Oakland that will use low quality feedstocks. SRS Engineering will build the turnkey facility. The company has a 35-year offtake agreement with the City of Oakland to supply biodiesel to its 10,000 vehicle fleet, as well as supply B20 to trucks operating at the port.
