CONAB sees Brazil 2015/16 ethanol production rising only 1.9% on year

April 14, 2015 |

In Brazil, the national crop supply agency CONAB expects ethanol production rise 1.9% during 2015/16 to 29.2 billion liters, while overall cane production is seen 3% higher at 654.6 million metric tons. Drought has negatively impacted cane production while a higher ethanol blend of 27% hasn’t boosted demand for ethanol as much as expected.
