CropEnergies loses CEO and Sudzucker drops senior exec over ethanol bust

In Germany, two top executives from Suedzucker and CropEnergies respectively have stepped down following disastrous results in the ethanol business. Among those on the chopping block was CropEnergies’ CEO. The company’s UK ethanol business Ensus has been mothballed since February due to a weak Euro and poor ethanol prices.
