Ethiopia’s Kessem mill to produce 12.5 million liters of ethanol production

In Ethiopia, the new Kessem sugar mill is preparing to come online, producing 12,500 cubic meters of ethanol annually in addition to 153,000 metric tons of sugar. China’s COMPLANT built the mill after another company failed to finish it. The mill was originally part of the expansion project for the Metehara Sugar Factory but was later separated into its own project.
