US ethanol industry toured Japan looking for export opportunities

In Japan, Growth Energy, the Renewable Fuel Association and the U.S. Grains Council visited the country last week looking for ethanol export opportunities. ETBE, E3 and E10 are the main ethanol blends used in the country. Even though offtake contracts with Brazilian producers currently have Japan’s ethanol market filled up, the relationships are seen as keen for the future when those contracts expire.
