Kuwait to invest $1.5 billion in Mozambican sugarcane ethanol production

In Mozambique, Kuwait’s Al-Bader International Development Company plans to invest $1.5 billion in a mega sugarcane ethanol project in the Massingir district of Gaza state. The company also plans to invest $13 billion in a coal-to-liquid facility to support the country’s growing coal industry that is hampered by poor export infrastructure and a fall in prices.
