Company looking to build mixed oil refinery/ biorefinery in Washington state

In Washington state, Texas-based Riverview Energy is looking to set up a mixed refinery in Longview that would refine 45,000 barrels per day of shale oil from North Dakota and half again as much of used cooking oil and vegetable oils for advanced biofuels and aviation jet fuel. Though the governor’s staff has met several times with project proponents, the governor has been kept out of discussions as a final decision on whether the facility gets approved or not ultimately lies with him.
