Philippine ethanol industry wants sugar mills to modernize

In the Philippines, the country’s ethanol producers association is actively encouraging the domestic sugar industry to modernize so as to boost efficiencies allowing for cheaper and more abundant ethanol production. From better farming practices to more advanced biorefinery technologies that allow the most value to be taken out of the sugarcane plant, opportunities abound for the sugarcane industry if it were to take up the challenge to modernize.
