Noble brings South Bend ethanol plant back online after major investments and upgrades

In Indiana, the South Bend ethanol plant that Noble bought in July 2013 is back online after major refurbishments including transitioning to natural gas from coal, fermentation process upgrades, new regenerative thermal oxidizers and other improvements to improve efficiencies. The facility was originally built in 1984 with major upgrades only done back in 2007. Noble is looking at further investments to improve efficiency and boost production capacity that currently stands at 100 million gallons per year.
