USDA report shows importance of international trade for biofuels

September 2, 2015 |

In Washington, the USDA’s Economic Research Service has released a new report looking at the importance of international trade for biofuels. The report looks at the rise and fall of the Brazilian ethanol industry, opportunities for US exports driven by sinking demand at home, looking at other destinations for US exports when the EU market was blocked, and the impact of imports on the domestic biofuel economy. It also analyses biofuel trade in light of falling oil prices since 2014.
