T2 ethanol cash premium hits two-week low as market adjusts

October 14, 2015 |

In the Netherlands, the European ethanol market remains tight, demonstrated by the cash premium over front month swap fell to a two week low of Eur48/cu m with T2 ethanol running at Eur574/cu m. Plants across Europe remain shut during annual maintenance periods while at least one producer is having difficulties in delivering contracted product. The narrowing of the cash premium is potentially seen as a two-week delay from moves that impacted several commodities but was slow to react in ethanol.
