US ethanol production dips to annual 14.49 billion gallon rate

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 949,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 39.86 million gallons daily. That is down 1,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 945,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.49 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 19.0 million barrels. That is a 0.8% increase from last week. Imports of ethanol registered zero b/d, down from 17,000 last week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 383.8 million gallons (9.137 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 887,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.39%.
