October 19, 2015 |

In the Philippines, the Japan International Cooperation Agency will set up a used cooking oil to biodiesel program in Davao City, the only project of its type to be approved in the country by the donor agency. The project’s validation study is currently underway with research into UCO availability from households and industrial suppliers. The fuel eventually produced from the project will be used in the city’s captive fleet include dump trucks. JICA is said to have chosen the city because of its success in implementing local policy.
