Ben Carson turns his back on subsidies for E30 pumps and throws baby out with the bath water

In Iowa, GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson has reversed his earlier support for redirecting petroleum subsidies towards higher ethanol blends of 30%, now saying he would want to see all government subsidies of all types eliminated, including agricultural subsidies. He says he is against major bailouts and the government picking winners and losers. America’s Renewable Future criticized the comments, saying that ethanol is not subsidized but that oil has been for the last 102 years and continues to be.
