USDA’s Office of the Chief Economist looks deeply at ethanol implications

In Washington, the USDA’s Office of the Chief Economist has released a study looking at the policy, production, use, distribution and market interactions related to ethanol hoping to bring clarity to the complex interaction of ethanol production with agricultural markets and government policies. From ethanol blending economics to the role ethanol plays on crop and feed prices, it also looks at production cost, profitability, technology and infrastructure of the US ethanol environment.
