Andersons Inc says could double Michigan ethanol plant to 110 million gallons

In Michigan, following its recent recognition by the Environmental Protection Agency as an efficient facility and therefore qualified to expand beyond current production, the Andersons Inc says its 55 million gallon per year corn ethanol plant in Albion could be doubled, matching production capacity at its facilities in Ohio and Indiana. The facility produces 155,000 tons of DDG annually in addition to ethanol, corn oil, E85 and CO2. It opened in 2006 and is co-located with the company’s grain elevator in Albion.
