Jatrodiesel biodiesel plant co-located with Patriot Renewable Fuels comes online

In Illinois, the 5 million gallon per year biodiesel plant designed by Jatrodiesel and co-located at the 125 MMgy CHS-owned Patriot Renewable Fuels ethanol plant in Annawan has been commissioned and is operational. The plant should be running at full capacity in the next week or so. By eliminating the need for conventional catalysts along with other processes, Jatrodiesel claims its synthesized biodiesel production system can cut traditional refining costs by up to 28%.
