About 2/3 of Sweden’s public buses running on renewable fuels

In Sweden, about 67% of public buses are running on renewable fuels, a jump from the 58% of buses that ran on renewable fuels in 2014, and a complete step change from the 6% in 2006. Biodiesel takes the lead in renewable fuel demand, with biogas and ED95 also popular renewable fuels.  In Stockholm County, 85.7% of fuel consumed by public transport buses is renewable. In terms of overall national fuel consumption, the national buses’ renewable fuel consumption equates to roughly 12.1%.
