Maas Companies to auction surplus biodiesel process equipment for Biodiesel One

In Connecticut, Maas Companies will auction surplus biodiesel process equipment for Biodiesel One Ltd. via a timed online auction ending Dec. 3 for piecemeal offers and Dec. 4 for entirety offers. The equipment is located at 102 West Center Street in Southington, Connecticut. Maas Companies sells specialized assets including ethanol and biodiesel plants and equipment nationwide.

The Biodiesel One plant opened in 2007 and was the second biodiesel plant in Connecticut. The plant processed used cooking oil from regional restaurants for feedstock in a batch water-wash process to produce ASTM-spec biodiesel. The finished product was sold mostly for heating oil. The equipment is now surplus and needs to be sold.

The process equipment is being offered for sale in two manners: equipment to be sold piecemeal or as a package, the equipment will sell whichever way brings the highest dollar. The equipment is also available for purchase prior to auction, plus the plant engineer is available for reinstallation or trainings for the new owner.

Potential buyers are encouraged to attend the open houses Nov. 19, 10 am to 2 pm, Dec. 2, 10 am to 2 pm, or other times by appointment.
