Cellufuel to spend next year analyzing market potential for its wood fiber-based fuel

In Canada, Cellufuel has brought its pilot plant online in the former Bowater Mersey paper plant in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, producing what it says is the world’s first carbon neutral fuel using low value wood fiber from a nearby lumberyard. The fuel is meant for heating and transportation use in the local market. Though the technology is not yet ready for the market, the company will spend the next year evaluating the fuel and its market potential if further developed.
