EPA says RIN production on track to break 2014 production record

In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency says RIN production reached 16.29 billion gallons through November, making it likely to not only reach the 16.93 billion gallons required to comply with the RFS for 2015 but to also pass last year’s record of 17.2 billion gallons. Ethanol RIN production fell in November fell 3% from October to 1.23 billion gallons as well as biomass-based diesel credits that fell to 226 million from 257 million the month prior.
