Philippines ethanol production capacity to reach 80% of E10 in 2016

December 29, 2015 |

In the Philippines, the Sugar Regulatory Administrator expects more ethanol production in 2016 thanks to two new facilities coming online during the first quarter, the Absolut Distillery and Emperador Distillery, that will both use molasses as feedstock. The 40 million liter Cavite Biofuels Producer should come online by the end of 2016 as well, bringing the total installed capacity to 322 million liters—enough to supply 80% of the country’s E10 blending mandate. In total, the three new plants add 100 million liters of production capacity.
