China opens anti-dumping investigation against US DDGS

In China, the government has formally launched anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations against US DDGS with calls by the local industry for import duties. The US Grains Council has said that it will cooperate with Chinese authorities during the investigation and will work with members to do so as well but believes the industry’s trade practices are fair. The USGC’s president expressed concerns about the negative impact such an investigation could have on the US ethanol industry.
