Gov. Terry Branstad urges Iowa caucus voters to reject Cruz

January 19, 2016 |

In Iowa, Gov. Terry Branstad has called on Iowans to vote against Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz for his anti-ethanol stance at the upcoming caucus on Feb. 1, saying his policies are bad for Iowa. The governor is hoping that at loss at the caucus would be a strong message for the candidate that a anti-ethanol strategy is not going to get him into the White House. Cruz was not invited to the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit but Donald Trump was because he has shown himself to be a friend of biofuels.
