Brazilian biodiesel production up 18% through November

January 27, 2016 |

In Brazil, biodiesel production was up 18% in 2015 through November at 3.6 billion liters but that is still less than half of the country’s installed capacity of 7.3 billion liters. The Midwest region continues to dominate production with 40% of the total, followed by 37% in the south and 13% in the southeast, which is a very different geographical distribution to ethanol production’s predominance in the center-south and north-northeast. Ethanol production reached 28.3 billion liters produced between January and November.
