Strong ethanol demand eating down Brazilian stocks for both hydrous and anhydrous

In Brazil, continued demand for hydrous ethanol has worn down stocks in the center-south region by 40% compared to the same period last year at 2.54 billion liters on Jan. 15. Stocks were worn down significantly from December, cutting 20% just during the one-month period. Hydrous sales between April and mid-January were up 35% on the year at 14.5 billion liters. Anhydrous ethanol sales were also down but just 7% on the year and 13% from December.
