In Argentina, biofuel producers have rejected anti-dumping measures Peru has implemented against the country’s industry and have said they will appeal it. Peru’s competition regulator Indecopi approved $208.2 per ton anti-dumping duties on all Argentine biodiesel coming into the country at the end of January. Argentina is the source of most of Peru’s biodiesel consumption. The industry has suffered significantly from anti-dumping tariffs applied to it by the European Union and has looked to other markets to take some of that supply, such as Peru and the US.
