Digest Bioeconomy Index sheds 3.17 percent to 44.94 as ethanol equities are hit hard

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, shed 3.17 percent to 44.94 as ethanol equities were hit hard amidst broad market gloom. For the day, Green Plains (GPRE) fell 13.66 percent to $12.96, while Aemetis (AMTX) dumped 10.29 percent to $1.57. Among other equities, The Andersons (ANDE) plunged 10.88 percent to $24.01. Overall, declines led advances by a 6 to 1 ratio for the day.
