Missouri still owes biodiesel producers $9.6 million from incentive fund

February 11, 2016 |

In Missouri, the state’s soybean association is working with legislators to get the remaining $9.6 million in deferred payments from the Biodiesel Qualified Producer Incentive Fund out to producers no later than the 2017 state budget. The fund was approved in 2002 and the first payments were paid in 2007, but as funding for the fund is subject to state appropriations, that $9.6 million is still outstanding. Last year about $6 million was paid out.
