Digest Bioeconomy Index gained 1.94 percent to 48.27 as ethanol rallies

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 1.94 percent to 48.27 as ethanol rallied. For the day, Aemetis (AMTX) gained 8.24 percent to $1.84, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) advanced 5.75 percent to $3.68. Among other equities, UPM was up 5.26 percent to $15.26. Overall, advances led declines by a 3 to 1 ratio for the day.
