BP ethanol production rises in 2015 by 47%

In the UK, despite having divested from Vivergo and other aspects of the biofuel business over the past few years, BP says it remains committed to the fuel as a necessary part of the road fuel mix. Its Brazilian units produced 795 million liters of ethanol in 2015, up 47% on the year.

The company says it is also investing in biobutanol technology with DuPont but didn’t give details.
