Argentina hits biodiesel industry again with another boost to export tax

In Argentina, the government boosted the biodiesel export tax for March to 6.4% up from 3.9% in February in a move that will weak knee the biodiesel industry still roiling from import restrictions into the European market. Currently biodiesel producers are running at 60% of production capacity due to limited export opportunities, limited further by these increased taxes, and a saturated domestic market. The local biofuel producers association has criticized the move as making no sense.
