Press points the finger at Manildra for lobbying to get NSW E10 mandate

In Australia, the press is insinuating dirty play by highlighting the 20 meetings and A$160,000 in political donations by Manildra in the 15 months leading up to the approval of an E10 mandate including for smaller retailers in New South Wales. Meetings with top party officials and the company’s chairman as well as a tour of the ethanol facility by the energy minister were highlighted as evidence of a policy that critics say will boost fuel prices by 8 cents per liter at the pump.
