Kinder Morgan Argo terminal accepting limited ethanol deliveries after shutdown

March 30, 2016 |

In Illinois, Kinder Morgan’s ethanol terminal in Argo has begun accepting limited deliveries after diverting them since March 2 when facilities were full. Stocks have been piling up around the country as production continued at full tilt despite thin margins and demand was weak except for export regions. Argo ethanol prices were quoted by Platts at a cent higher per gallon on Tuesday than on Monday. Kinder Morgan notified suppliers on March 23 that deliveries would be received again beginning March 24 but only one of four or five unloading docks were available.
