April 6, 2016 |

In Indonesia, Louis Dreyfus has commissioned its first biodiesel facility in Asia, a facility that will produce 420,000 metric tons of biodiesel and 50,000 tons of glycerin annually from palm oil. The biofuel produced at the new plant complies with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil and is also ISCC certified for export into Europe. Much of the production is intended for supplying the domestic B20 mandate, however. The new plant is located in Lampung province in Sumatra.
