Malaysia and Indonesia look to US to absorb biodiesel exports

In Malaysia, palm oil biodiesel exports to Europe continue to be negative impacted by anti-dumping tariffs imposed by the European Commission, so it and Indonesian origins are looking to take advantage of the US’s biodiesel blenders credit that was reapproved the end of 2015. That subsidy of $1 per gallon translated to about $300 per metric ton. The European market instead chooses to focus on UCOME that qualifies for double counting towards mandates in many European countries.
