Advanced Biofuels Association heads unusual team against biodiesel producers tax credit

April 14, 2016 |

In Washington, the Advanced Biofuel Association has teamed with an unexpected group of lobbying partners in favor of keeping the biodiesel tax credit as a blenders credit. Partners include the National Association of Truck Stop Operators, the Petroleum Marketers Association of America, SIGMA, NACS, and American Trucking Associations. The policy move would combat the move spearheaded by the National Biodiesel Board against the current blenders credit, seeking to shift it towards a production credit to ensure that foreign companies are not subsidized against US producers.
