Argentine biofuel industry says E26 policy impossible to achieve in 2017

April 25, 2016 |

In Argentina, the country’s biofuel industry says the government’s ambitions to boost the ethanol blend to 26% next year are impossible to achieve. The government’s commitment to the industry is appreciated, but more time and significant amounts of investment are required in order to achieve the targets for 2017. The government has raised the blend to 12% recently from 10% which the industry is working towards supplying and production is rising in line with demand but the jump is seen as just too high for one year to the next.
