The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, edged up 0.29 percent to 55.24 despite an ethanol decline.

For the day, Corbion (CRBN.AS) jumped 6.94 percent to $22.50, while Metabolix (MBLX) gained 3,42 percent to $1.51. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) dropped 3.00 percent to $0.26.

Overall, declines led advances by a 8 to 5 ratio for the day.
