Brazilian hydrous ethanol prices stabilize while anhydrous slips slightly

April 27, 2016 |

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol prices have stabilized and even strengthened slightly by 0.25% during the week of 18-22 April to $1.46/gal as sellers stayed away from the market. Steady prices in the Center-South region have encouraged trade coming in from other states such as Goias. The trend is curious considering the crush continues to strengthen and UNICA reported Wednesday a record crush for the first half of April. Anhydrous prices took a reverse turn and fell slightly during the period, down 1.21% on the week to $1.66/gal.
