India looks to Bihar to supply ethanol for blending after banning alcohol

In India, the government has asked oil companies to buy as much ethanol as it can from Bihar following the state’s decision to ban alcohol a few weeks ago. About 60 million liters can be produced by sugar millers and distilleries in the state. State oil companies have floated a tender to source the 2.6 billion liters of ethanol required to supply the E10 blending policy with 1.35 billion liters already offered by sugar mills.
